The world falls silent beneath the snow’s soft embrace
A hush blankets all: our plans, our schemes erased
Through frosted panes, the cotton-white sky unfolds
Whispering stillness, as the cold gently holds

We yield to its rhythm, a slower, sacred beat
A frozen moment where time & thought retreat
Like a wise Mother, winter softly implores:
Rest, reflect, and nourish—this pause is yours

Author’s note: We’re having a snow day here in Tennessee. It doesn’t snow that often where we are, so when we get any type of good amount, the whole area seems to shut down. Much different than Philly where I grew up! Anyway, the silent snow has been a good moment for pause and reflection, especially after a busy and hectic week.

Peace be with you,
-Nick
