Jeez, the list for this could be long. Practically speaking, many animals in the wild would make terrible pets. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
Perhaps what’s more annoying is having an animal that should make a good pet but one that turns out to be a real pain-in-the-ass.
That describes one of our cats, Oreo, who is a tuxedo cat with a devilishly mischievous streak. Oreo can be cute and cuddly sometimes, but he also loves to knock things off tables and generally cause mayhem.
We also have a dog, Nico, whom I love, but can also be a pain (he’s the one in the featured image). He’s a grumpy old part-Shih Tzu with separation anxiety who screams when he can’t find us in the house.
Our other pet shouldn’t be left out. Her name is Olivia, the sweet princess who is our “perfect child,” as my wife likes to say. She rarely causes any trouble, keeps to herself, and loves to spend time with us.
I never really had pets growing up because my dad hated animals, so it’s been enlightening to be a pet owner since meeting my wife.
