Doing a job for free? Are you crazy?
I suppose there are jobs that I’d love and it wouldn’t feel like work, but at this point in my life, I wouldn’t do any work for free. It’s hard enough making a living in America right now.
When I was in college, I did do a few internships that were technically for free. I worked at a couple of newspapers where we got school credits instead of being paid, but even that is a bit crappy.
And I guess I would do some volunteer work, which is, in essence, working for free. But the past few years have been tough for me career- and money-wise, so the thought of working for free doesn’t sit well.
