How can the same world birth both roses & screams?
I wear a radiant crown & a crooked smile
One eye weeps, the other sings
I cradle joy & agony alike

When petals unfold, do they speak your name?
I return with the sun, again & again
You walk my skin, build on my bones
But still you ask:
Do you belong to me
Or are you a trespasser?

Which self do you mean to save?
The one who dreamt of oceans?
The one that broke in spring?
I change shape as the seconds pass
Try to catch me & I’ll slip through your hands

**

What force turns salt into scripture?
It arrives with a thud & rearranges the soul
Even light bends differently in its presence
It darkens your doorstep
But teaches you how to see
