Cherry buds unbloom
no need to rush the morning
the sun knows its time
Cicadas hum loud
Still, the heart waits without need
this heat is enough
Leaves release their grip
even falling has its grace
wind will hold them all
Snow hushes the field
no one asks the moon to shine
she does it alone
Seasons pass through me
I remain, just like the sky
aware of it all
