When you wander through the endless night, the memory of day dissolves. The sun is no longer a friend but an adversary, a blazing tyrant whose touch scorches without mercy. I have not felt its light for … who can say? Time itself withers in shadow. Yet here, in the dark, I have grown more luminous, more sacred than the whitest wing of any angel.

You will know my name, though your lips will tremble to speak it. You will hear my words, though your soul recoils from their sound.

And this is only the beginning. My dominion of night is still unfurling, and on this Samhain, when the veil between worlds frays to threads, I will find you in the mist.

For a heartbeat, we will merge: ruler and ruled, lover and beloved, brother and sister. For a heartbeat, you will know me.

And when the mist closes again, you will know me forevermore.
