How many times must I tell you this?
The key to my heart is buried in the abyss
Deep in the dirt, where the worms conspire
Stick a fork in it; this field’s on fire
Livestock shriek in a mad parade
Charging the Big House, where deals are made
The master’s grin, a knife in the dark
Plotting to crack the Bible apart
Too many cooks in a cauldron of sin
Not enough dirt to soak it all in
The bathtub’s dry, the earth won’t bleed
But the bodies pile up like a morbid seed
Dig deeper, you’ll find what you seek
A key, a heart, a truth too bleak
