Of all the sins that stain the soul
Lust burns brightest, sticky-sweet & bold
When Eve bit deep that ruby skin
It must’ve felt like lightning within
A bloom of stars behind her eyes
A million moans dressed in disguise
Perhaps the serpent wasn’t wrong
Just speaking truth in hiss & song
We lost the gates, the garden’s grace
But found new Eden in embrace
God took the fruit, the light, the rest
But left us Eros, in heat undressed
